2013 Fires	CORP's Siskiyou Line is severed in Cow Creek Canyon by the Douglas Complex Fires Updated: August 5, 2013

	A look back at this northern California shortline in 2000 and before with this reincarnation of a Northwest Rails article from 2001.
	The former Southern Pacific Siskiyou and Coos Bay lines with sections on the early months, signals including semaphores and wig wags, signal maintainence, and a couple of cab rides with friends who have become become engineers.
	Pictures from the late 80's until the takeover by CORP including coverage of the "Rainbow Era" of diversely painted locomotives, the 4449's Spirit of the West tour in 1988 and a last look the combined power of the SP and D&RGW in the Rogue Valley.
	An largely undiscovered gem in the Blue Mountains of Oregon, the narrow gauge Sumpter Valley Restoration Railway features a wood burning Heisler and an elegantly rebuilt Alco Mikado.
	December, 2012 Update: St. Tammany Rails Parts 1 and 2 -- Rail adventures in the 1960's in Louisiana. 1960's and 70's blasts from the past including: the New York Central in Rochester and Syracuse; the Lehigh Valley, Baltimore & Ohio and Erie Lackawanna in upstate New York; the Illinois Central, Southern and Gulf Mobile & Ohio in south Louisiana; and the Seaboard Coast Line in North Carolina.
	Projects include restoration of a Baldwin switcher, building of an excursion railroad near Medford, Oregon and rebuilding of a Willamette steam locomotive.
	My HO model layout based loosely on the Rogue Valley in 1966.
